A day in the life of a handmade jewelry maker.....

Do you remember the post about the 4th New Years "resolution" or hope for 2017? It was related to how to add more laughs to your day and included some suggestions. Here is the link to that post if you want the details.

​This past weekend something happened that I could only laugh at because what else could I do?  Here is what happened. 

I had an art show (Gumtree Art Festival) in Tupelo, Mississippi. Tupelo is a day's drive from my home/studio in Baton Rouge. I spent the week before getting everything ready to go and checking my show list several times to make sure I had everything and....yes, you guess it.  

Something important was forgotten - something so important that I could not do the show without this. I forgot the table covers. Big problem. Major problem. ​

Fortunately, the next small town we came to had a Walmart. I went in, found drapes in a nice cream color and they were on sale for 4.50 each! I picked up seven for my 3 tables and then went back at the last minute & picked up another one.  You can see a photo above of what my "make do" table covers looked like.  Not perfect but I thing/hope that I was the only one who noticed!

Laugh? Yes, I did. What else could I do?
