This is a new necklace and earring set - so new that it's not even on the website yet. Pure sterling silver, of course and the necklace is long enough to be worn a couple of different ways. It can be worn traditionally, as shown, or as a lariat with the clasp centered in the front and a long drape of necklace below the clasp or with the clasp positioned in the front at the side - options are good!
The earrings are on my online shop so you can go here to shop those sterling silver earrings but the necklace has not quite made it to the shop yet! Click the button below to join my email list to be first to know when new jewelry hits the website!

These bits and pieces are on the bench today! Lots of women are loving rose gold jewelry right now, especially rose gold earrings. These earrings were a special order and I am making a couple of extra pairs to have at my next show.
They combine the best of all worlds - sterling silver, yellow gold and rose gold earrings! They are already in my online shop so CLICK HERE to grab a pair for yourself! I wish the crystals in this rock showed up better in this photo! We stopped several places in New Mexico on our way back from Arizona to do some rockhounding. I am obsessed with the search for cool rocks - especially rocks with a little sparkle in them!
This one caught my eye because it was just a plan looking rock except for....that AMAZING stipe of sparkle right across the middle of it! I had to take a closer look & bring it home to add to my collection! That silver thumb ring is in my online shop now - click HERE if you need one (or more) for yourself or someone else! This is one of my favorite sterling silver necklaces; it's fairly thin but extra long, which I love. Long necklaces have been popular for awhile but this is the first time I have made one of my silver chain link necklaces in this longer length.
The stacking rings you can barely see in this photo (I wear them with my wedding ring but a little pop of mixed metal) are in my online store - click here to get a closer look at those little rings. The long silver chain necklace is not on the website just yet but it will be soon - click the button below to join my email list so you will be first to know when it hits the website! Last week, we were in Arizona for the Fountain Hills Fine Art & Craft Festival and, on our way back home to Louisiana, we decided to take our time and do a little rockhounding on the way.
I had a book suggesting where to go to (possibly) find flourite in New Mexico so we headed to that site and we found this amazing chuck of flourite! It actually has a little bit of a greenish cast to it which is hard to see in the photo. So much fun!! The sterling silver stacking or thumb ring is available in my online store - click here to see the silver rings! Years ago, soon after I started selling my handmade silver jewelry at art and crafts shows, a friendly older man approached me and told me that he like my silver wire jewelry. He then proceeded to tell me that he used to make personalized "name" jewelry and sell it at malls and carnivals.
He offered to show me how he created names in silver wire. He obviously was eager to show me his skills (and I was very curious to see how he did it) so I pulled out some round nosed pliers and 20 gauge silver wire. He immediately set to work making me a little silver perfectly aligned pendant! It took him less than 5 minutes - what a craftsperson! He told me that I could take over his business, since he was no longer doing it. Honestly? I would love to be able to do this. I am tempted to give it a try - I think it would take me a LOT of practice to be able to create a piece as well done as that one he made for me so many years ago. Want to be the first to know what's new in the jewelry studio? Sign up for my email list & I'll be sure to keep you in the loop! (I can't promise it will be personalized name jewelry but you never know!) I just added this fun new necklace to the website - inspired by the childhood game of "jacks"!! My friends and I spent hours & hours playing this game - what a magical time that was - full of simple pleasures in the company of good friends!
I liked this necklace so much I put it on my new postcards - I like the fresh, contemporary look of these cards! That bracelet is available in my store- click here to see all the details! Just about all of my jewelry designs start with plain coils of sterling silver wire just like this! The wire is cut, shaped, filed and each small piece is then carefully linked together by hand, one at a time, to form a complete piece of jewelry. It can be a tedious process but I love seeing a plain piece of wire turned into jewelry that will be treasured and worn for many years and then handed down for the next generation to enjoy and appreciate. Click on the photos below to see details and shop the jewelry! The necklace featured in the poster is available now in my online store -
Click HERE to shop that fun "jacks" necklace! I was so honored to be accepted into the Fountain Hills Fine Art and Craft Festival held every November in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Fountain Hills is a beautiful little town about 30 miles east of Phoenix in the mountains. Wonderful people, wonderful show!
That silver bracelet is available on my website (in both sterling silver and sterling silver/gold, if you prefer a mixed metal look)! Click here to shop the bracelet now! We love to travel and we especially love to travel in the western U.S.; I guess that could have something to do with the fact that both of our grown sons live on the west coast. But, beyond that, we are rockhounds and will go almost anywhere to find cool rocks!
In this case, we were driving back home from an art show in Fountain HIlls, Arizona and decided to stop off at a rockhouding area near Deming, New Mexico. We found lots of interesting rocks but this one was my very favorite. I love all those small while chrystals, all clustered together! I guess it's kind of big to use in a necklace....I'll have to keep thinking about that! That silver thumb ring is available in my online store - go here to check it out! Nice to wear by itself or stack it up with others! Last week we were in Arizona and New Mexico for an art show and on the way home, we took our time and went to some amazing rock hounding spots! Our favorite places to pick up rocks are in New Mexico - it seems that so many of the Arizona places are pretty difficult to get to.
That big, statement chain link silver bracelet is not in my shop yet but it will be soon - sign up for my email list to be sure you are the first to know when new pieces hit the website! CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP! You know that I LOVE handmade pottery and this little dish by Kent Follette (https://follettepottery.com) is just so colorful and fun!! I think this dish is just excellent for storing my jewelry.
You can go here to shop that classic silver bracelet! These beautiful sterling silver multi hoop drop earrings have been one of my most popular designs since the moment I first introduced them. They are classic but unique enough to be interesting - a nice alternative to a simple and classic hoop earring!
Click here to shop these silver drop earrings in my online store and here to shop the sterling silver stacking rings! I was doing a little weeding the other day and I found this HUGE clover - just imagine all the good luck if this monster had 4 leaves!! I couldn't resist taking a picture of it before I pulled it out of the flower pot so I could get my pansies planted!!! :)
That big, bold chain link bracelet is not on the website yet! Click the button below to join my email list to be the first to know when all the new jewelry hits the website! More beautiful pottery by Kent Follette (https://follettepottery.com) and a very classic sterling silver bracelet - the design is called "Byzantine" but who would remember that? I just think of it as one of the most classic jewelry designs EVER.
Click here to go to my online store & shop this sterling silver bracelet! Last weekend at the Abita Fall Fest in Abita Springs, Louisiana, I took advantage of a little downtime to shoot a couple of shots of some of my favorite new silver earring styles!
Love these long silver earrings - bold, fun and unique, all rolled into one cool pair of silver earrings! These earrings are available in my online store - click HERE to go shop the earrings! Last weekend, I was at the Abita Fall Fest in Abita Springs, Louisiana and I was next to a fabulous potter, Kent Follette (https://follettepottery.com). At the end of the show, Kent gifted me with this wonderful little "wishing well" vase! I love handmade pottery and this is my new favorite!
That big, bold, fun, jacks-inspired bracelet is available on my website - click here to shop the bracelet! New business cards have arrive and I love them! It's a first design attempt with my new colors of dark lime and bright fushia so I'm still getting used to the whole "colorful" thing (after years of thinking I had to be "elegant" and always black/gray/white).
I have ALWAYS loved color - all the colors! I am really looking forward to doing lots of things with color at art shows and on my website! Yay for color - bring it!!! :) |
