Oh this is such a wonderful and informative book! I picked it up at my local library because, you know, I am all about the yarn these days, since I make sterling silver stitch and spend a LOT of time knitting. Anyway, back to the book...
This details differences among many different breeds of sheep and then talks about the different types of yarn produced from their fleece and what the yarn is best suited to. It is a wonderful resource!
This is one of my handmade sterling silver stitch markers. I am a knitter so that markers were initially made to use in knitting; my friends who crochet say are perfect for that craft as well because they are open and easily slip over the yarn.
I am in the process of designing and making a new size in these silver stitch markers. They will be extra large, for those who knit with the bulkiest of yarns. I have recently been knitting with bulky yarn so I see first hand the need to larger markers!
