According to the guru of all things color, Pantone, the human eye sees more green than any other color and it makes sense - especially here in south Louisiana! We are surrounded with plants, grass and trees, many of which are green all year round but especially this time of year. With a multitude of greens so plentiful in our world, colors in the green family can convey lots of different moods.
One of the green shades included in the new color additions to the PANTONE color palette is called “Forest Biome”, a deep green with a hint of blue – this is similar to the deep green color of malachite, which is only one of the green shades included in my new colorful and elegant “Little Luxuries” collection. Green is known as the great harmonizer and is often described as a restful shade; it affects the nervous system, causing us to breathe slowly and deeply, slowing the production of stress hormones. See what you think of these earrings of sterling silver and the restful shade of green found in jade. For many of us the color green connects with newness, youth, growth, and is a symbol of nature and new beginnings.
