I wish the crystals in this rock showed up better in this photo! We stopped several places in New Mexico on our way back from Arizona to do some rockhounding. I am obsessed with the search for cool rocks - especially rocks with a little sparkle in them!
This one caught my eye because it was just a plan looking rock except for....that AMAZING stipe of sparkle right across the middle of it! I had to take a closer look & bring it home to add to my collection! That silver thumb ring is in my online shop now - click HERE if you need one (or more) for yourself or someone else!

This is one of my favorite sterling silver necklaces; it's fairly thin but extra long, which I love. Long necklaces have been popular for awhile but this is the first time I have made one of my silver chain link necklaces in this longer length.
The stacking rings you can barely see in this photo (I wear them with my wedding ring but a little pop of mixed metal) are in my online store - click here to get a closer look at those little rings. The long silver chain necklace is not on the website just yet but it will be soon - click the button below to join my email list so you will be first to know when it hits the website! Last week, we were in Arizona for the Fountain Hills Fine Art & Craft Festival and, on our way back home to Louisiana, we decided to take our time and do a little rockhounding on the way.
I had a book suggesting where to go to (possibly) find flourite in New Mexico so we headed to that site and we found this amazing chuck of flourite! It actually has a little bit of a greenish cast to it which is hard to see in the photo. So much fun!! The sterling silver stacking or thumb ring is available in my online store - click here to see the silver rings! These beautiful sterling silver multi hoop drop earrings have been one of my most popular designs since the moment I first introduced them. They are classic but unique enough to be interesting - a nice alternative to a simple and classic hoop earring!
Click here to shop these silver drop earrings in my online store and here to shop the sterling silver stacking rings! It's cool and rainy here in south Louisiana after what seemed like an endless summer...and not in a good way. It was too hot for too long.
Today I am remembering a wonderful trip we took this summer to visit family in southern California. I love southern California...as long as we are at the beach, anyway. What a wonderful place. That sterling silver thumb ring is available on my website - click here to pick up a few for yourself! This book was recommended to me by Megan Auman (www.meganauman.com) and, since I already had Brene Brown's other book (which I can't remember the name of) on my "must read" list, I decided to go ahead & ask Mr. Amazon to send me both of them ASAP.
I started reading this last night and here's what I can tell you. I am 15 pages in and this book is going to change my life. I am almost in tears as I type that. She talks about courage (the everyday type, not the "i'm a hero" type), connection and compassion in ways that are real and "actionable", if that makes sense. It's almost reading like a how-to book of how to be a better person. In fact, it IS a how-to book. Ok, i'm going to go read now. :) Those stacking rings? They are in my online store - click here to shop them now! I just got back from a trip visiting our son in California. Before we left, there was some fairly heavy stress in my life - a very sick relative, a busy time preparing for this trip and several others coming up this fall. Anyway, once we left on our driving trip to California, I decided to spend the trip looking for things that gave me joy.
This was the first thing I saw on the trip that made me laugh out loud - this crazy fun set of salad serving "forks". So many colors! So much abandon and abundance of colors!! I thought, that's what joy is - things that you see or hear that, when you see or hear it, you just spontaneously laugh! That little silver ring is available in my online store - go here to check it out! If you want to join my email list so that you don't miss out on any new jewelry designs, click here to sign up! I am totally loving these new jewelry tags! I use them for silver bracelets and necklaces and they are perfect. You can't see it, but there is room on the back to put a small price tag along with the inventory number.

The other day, I was watching a video about something - maybe email marketing or maybe using Pinterest in your business, and the speaker was drinking from an amazingly beautiful black and white coffee mug. I couldn't get that coffee mug out of my head so, when the video ended, I emailed the speaker and told her that I really needed a mug like the one she was using in the video. She told me the artist is Elizabeth Benotti (https://elizabethbenotti.com/) so, now I am the proud owner of one of Elizabeth's mugs! Happy dance!
The little silver stacking ring (I use it as a thumb ring) is available in my online store - you can click here to check it out! Click the button below to join my email list for first look at new designs! Earlier today I was at a local and delicious coffeeshop (www.Lighthouse.coffeebr.com) and saw this very cute little clutch. It's actually a holder for essential oils but, anyway, what I noticed was that this cute little oil holder exactly matches the colors on my website! I just recently added a little (ok, a lot) of color to my website so now I see these colors everywhere I go. I love them - so bright and cheerful!!

It is still so hot here where I am in south Louisiana but, miraculously, we may be getting a brief cool front through in the next few days! Logically, I know fall is coming but, in the meantime, I'll wear my new gauzy white blouse and enjoy the heat! The "daisy chain" silver bracelet is available in my online store - you can click here to shop! You can click here to see the silver stacking rings - they make great thumb rings, too - so comfortable! Click the button below to sign up to be the first to see new jewelry designs! P.S. When you were younger, did you make clover chain jewelry or dandelion chain or even daisy chain jewelry? Let me know in the comments below - I would love to know!
Remember these little "Viewmaster" toys? You could put those little circle discs in with the tiny slides & see the small scenes in (sort of) 3-D! I think mine was red & I spent lots of hours with it. A magical world before electronics!
Well, I saw this one, with lots of "viewing discs" (I'm not sure what they are actually called....) at a garage sale recently for $15.00 and I didn't buy it. What in the world was I thinking??? Talk about something that would have made me happy everytime I looked at it! So guess what? Now I am looking on Ebay and I am determined to buy one - a red one if at all possible. I NEED this in my life (again). So, into Ebay land I go - wish me luck! The clover chain (or daisy chain) silver bracelet was inspired by the clover chains I used to make when I was a child - the clover chains were happening at about the same time as the Viewmaster! Go here to shop the silver clover chain bracelet in my online store! I just got this painting in the mail yesterday from one of my very favorite Louisiana artists, Lauren J.H. Clark of www.etsy.com/shop/LaurenJHClark. I love the colors, I love the size (just 5" x 7") - I love everything about it! I especially love supporting local artists!

Now & then I come across pottery and a potter who I really love & relate to. Jason Wilson, from Mississippi, is one of those potters. His work is so unusual and beautiful. Love the colors, love the shape, love how it feels in my hand. I want another one!!
The sterling silver stacking ring is available in my online store - you can click here to shop! Last weekend I was on vacation in Arkansas and one of the most wonderful things we did was find a farm where we could pick our own peaches. We were lucky enough to have a little bit of cooler weather so it was really great and the peaches are so sweet! (We picked 80 pounds of peaches - that's a lot of smoothies and a lot of jam!
Go here to get a closer look at the silver bracelet - inspired by the childhood game of jacks! Click the button below if you need a silver thumb ring of your very own! ![]() It was a complicated day. I was signed up for an online class that I was really looking forward and then? Our electricity went out. I got creative - I knew I could access wifi at the public library, which is very near our house, so I headed over there in plenty of time to get settled and watch the class. There were a series of setbacks at the library, but I was finally settled in, accessing wifi and ready to go, pink water bottle in hand! Our library has this fabulous view, as you can see! ~Click here to see details of the stacking rings on the website~

Today was a day for learning new things and getting up close & personal with our local library.
I had to replace my older laptop for several reasons so this has been a real learning curve for me. My last computer was a Chromebook which was great and, before that, a Macbook. So, it's been awhile since I have worked on a Windows computer. Anyway, learning new things here! Here are a few of my silver stacking rings, two of which I use on either side of my wedding ring. They blend, right? If you like these little stacking rings, you can go here for details! If so, you have come to the right place! Also called midi rings or knuckle rings, these little rings are a perfectly elegant solution to which rings to wear - you can wear them one at a time, on any of your fingers (or on your thumb).
They are especially nice as "midi" (or knuckle) or thumb rings because they are thin enough to be completely comfortable wherever you wear them! Speaking of thumb rings, did you know that thumb rings symbolize strength and courage? Traditionally, a thumb ring was worn by archers to protect the thumb during firing. Who knew?? These handmade sterling silver rings are all one of a kind because of how they are made. I may post a video of the process within the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
My attention is turning to Thanksgiving - lots of family coming in for the holiday and the house is a wreck, of course......I need to remember to breathe and say "it will all be ok"....because it will! Want to join our circle of jewelry lovers? CLICK HERE! |
