Just so you know - the La Louisiane collection is composed of jewelry that is often stamped with local "sayings" or words that are often French in origin or relate specifically to south Louisiana, my home. I'll be doing a series of posts re: what these words mean with a picture of the jewelry accompanied by a picture of the "real" object when applicable! So here is the first - WHAT is "boo-dan"???
So glad you asked! "Boudin" is a spicy sausage used in Louisiana cooking that is created from a blend of beef, rice, and/or pork (although other meats are often added to create variations: gator, shrimp, crawfish, etc.). Yummy! Thought you couldn't speak French?? think again - just say "boo-dan"!
Laura lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and creates jewelry inspired by ancient patterns.
