We had a great time at Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette, Louisiana, as we always do. This lovely lady picked out some new sterling silver bangles and midi rings (also called stacking rings) for herself! The best thing about these shows and festivals is getting to connect with you (and, sometimes, your family)! The street entertainment is wonderful at this festival - this is one of the "stilt walkers" that are there every year! These little earrings were designed to support cancer awareness of all types. We all know too many people who have suffered from this hateful disease. These earrings say, in a subtle way, "I am thinking of you" or " I stand with you".
One of the most useful tools I use is the torch - used to put two pieces of metal together or to "ball up" wire, as I am doing here. These little balled silver wires are used to make the earwires that come with every pair of silver earrings I make!
Hand-stamped sterling silver cross earrings with genuine freshwater pearls hand wrapped in thin sterling silver wire. These make a lovely Mother's Day gift or birthday gift for her. These drop cross earrings are sure to please - a gift for you? Great idea! You deserve ! Need a couple of quick tips to keep sterling silver from tarnishing? Here are 4 things you can do: 1. keep in an airtight bag - a Ziplock works great for this 2. don't store your jewelry in the bathroom (the moisture can cause tarnish) 3. store your jewelry in "tarnish" cloth, available at your local fabric shop (you might have to ask for it); you can just wrap the cloth around your jewelry - it's doesn't have to be in a bag 4. include a small desiccant pack with your jewelry - the little packs that come with a new pair of shoes or a new purse That's it! Enjoy your sterling silver jewelry, tarnish-free! If so, you have come to the right place! Also called midi rings or knuckle rings, these little rings are a perfectly elegant solution to which rings to wear - you can wear them one at a time, on any of your fingers (or on your thumb).
They are especially nice as "midi" (or knuckle) or thumb rings because they are thin enough to be completely comfortable wherever you wear them! Speaking of thumb rings, did you know that thumb rings symbolize strength and courage? Traditionally, a thumb ring was worn by archers to protect the thumb during firing. Who knew?? Why is this handmade sterling silver necklace so popular? One word: because it's just plain FUN to wear, that's why! It's got lots of jingly, jangly parts (not that you can actually HEAR the parts jingling, but you get the idea) AND it will get you a nice bit of attention and compliments - WHY? Because this handmade necklace is just that different! ~scroll down to have a look at the matching dangle earrings~ By the way, I call these two pieces "waterfall" because that's exactly what they remind me of! These are some of the most popular dangle earrings of all time for my shop. Everyone loves sterling silver, so that is part of the charm but I think the rest of the story is in the "flexibility" of these silver earrings - they move with you and are just so much fun to wear because of that! These earrings would make a great gift for mom (a Mother's Day gift) - you can choose silver, silver and gold or silver and copper. Scroll down to see these dangle earrings in a sweet combination of sterling silver and gold filled! Honestly, there earrings seem to be everyone's favorite - whether for themselves or for a gift for mom or daughter. There is a classic look to hand hammered sterling silver earrings; freshwater pearls have been popular in women's jewelry for a very long time. The size is also important to the popularity of these silver earrings, I think. Measuring just a little over 1" in length, they are just right for any occasion, any hairstyle and any outfit. No thinking needed in the morning - just thrown them on & go!
I am loving the look and carefree style of this lightweight stainless steel necklace and oval freshwater pearls! The longest steel necklace is 40" long, the mid length is 33" and the shortest length is 27". Each necklace has 5 freshwater pearls, hand wrapped with sterling silver wire. You can buy one, two or all - the choice is yours. See chain detail below - it's a great looking stainless steel chain in the "rolo" style. Simple handmade hoop earrings! These are wonderful just because they are so classic and comfortable. They measure about 1.25" long, including the handmade sterling silver earwires.
Long layering sterling silver and stainless steel necklace - this necklace is seriously long - about 40 inches in overall length! Great for layering with the shorter necklaces in this same collection or for wearing on it's on. Yes, it's ok to wear one long necklace - in fact, it's pretty trendy; see the celeb below who looks stunning wearing one super long necklace! Ok, so it's not EXACTLY my stainless steel and silver necklace, but it could be, right? LOL!
