Last week I was on vacation in my home state of Arkansas, doing a little rockhounding for crystals in Hot Springs, visiting with family, eating barbeque and lots of other fun things.
I needed a few photos of my jewelry on real people so I grabbed one of my sister-in-laws (sisters-in-law?) and asked if I could take a few photos of her wearing a couple of pairs of my earrings. She was happy to oblige! (The reason for doing this was that earrings are EXTREMELY hard to get good photos on my own ears.....extremely.) Go here to see these sterling silver dangle earrings from the "jacks" collection!

Since I don't have an art show scheduled right away, I have a little time to get ready (although it is almost August...yikes).
These silver earrings are thrown into this tray because they all need a little extra cleaning....and, you can see my Sunshine polishing cloth there in the background. That Sunshine cloth cleans anything - silver, gold, glass, anything! Go here if you need one of those! Want to know more about cleaning silver jewelry? Go here to read more. There is nothing like a freshwater watermelon from a farmer's market in the summertime!
Last week, I was on vacation in my home state, Arkansas and we happened across a farmer's market in downtown Little Rock. Of course, we had to stop & take a look! LOTS of good things there (including some wonderful art by local artists) but my favorites were these lovely fresh watermelons! Takes me back to my childhood, hot days, cold watermelon on a picnic table! It was a wonderful market (a combination of artists, fresh produce, honey and other delicious things) set up at The Bernice Garden. Click here if you want to see details for my silver "jacks" bracelet - lightweight and easy to wear on a hot summer day! I have several friends who make pottery so, when I can, I love to buy their pottery. This beautiful white "urchin" porcelain pot was made by Rocky Broome (http://www.rockyspots.com/). I love the shape of this pot as well as the texture - it's one of my favorite pieces of handmade pottery.
The silver rope bracelet is for sale in my online store - click here to see details and shop the bracelet! It was a complicated day. I was signed up for an online class that I was really looking forward and then? Our electricity went out. I got creative - I knew I could access wifi at the public library, which is very near our house, so I headed over there in plenty of time to get settled and watch the class. There were a series of setbacks at the library, but I was finally settled in, accessing wifi and ready to go, pink water bottle in hand! Our library has this fabulous view, as you can see! ~Click here to see details of the stacking rings on the website~
I have recently made a series of 4 or 5 different sizes of these sterling silver square earrings and these are the smallest - so, technically, they are "extra small". As I looked at them when I took this picture I saw that, honestly, they are not THAT small. Relatively small, yes. Afterall the largest ones are 6" around so those are pretty large so, compared to those large square earrings, these are "extra small".
So, I guess I should say that these earrings are the "extra smallest"....so far. Click here if you want to get a closer look at these "extra small" silver square earrings! Want to be in the loop so you don't miss out when new jewelry is introduced? Click here to join my email list now!
This artist is a painter who paints what she sees around her home in Lakeland, Louisiana. I am so fortunate to now own two of her lovely paintings and several prints.
The artist's name is Lauren Clark - check out all her available artwork at https://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurenJHClark You can click here if you want to see my sterling silver necklaces in my online store. This jacket. Did you know you can wear this type of jacket all year long, even in this hot as can be southeastern part of the US?
Winter? Yes, on those mild sunny days (we have a lot of those where I live). Spring? Perfection. Fall? Just right, a little extra cover on those nice cool nights. Summer? Oh, yes. You know those days when it is just SO HOT so you wear your coolest, breeziest sundress to go out to lunch with friends? And then...surprise!! The A.C. is turned down to about 60 degrees. No worries, whip out your little short sleeve jean jacket and you are prepared no matter how far down they turn the A.C.! LOADS of new silver jewelry making it's way onto the website as we speak, including this light & breezy extra long silver necklace! Today was a day for learning new things and getting up close & personal with our local library.
I had to replace my older laptop for several reasons so this has been a real learning curve for me. My last computer was a Chromebook which was great and, before that, a Macbook. So, it's been awhile since I have worked on a Windows computer. Anyway, learning new things here! Here are a few of my silver stacking rings, two of which I use on either side of my wedding ring. They blend, right? If you like these little stacking rings, you can go here for details! New postcards!! I love these. I designed them to be used for wholesale orders but I think they will be useful for all sorts of things....want a postcard?? :) I typically use them when I am at larger art shows; I put my booth number on the back & give them out so that people can find me again without having to follow the yellow brick road!
