1. black felt hat 2. denim jacket 3. large tote 4. Handmade sterling silver persian necklace 5. sunglasses 6. silk plant 7. brown sandals 8. silk dress Here in south Louisiana, it is just starting to get cool. Since we love our summer dresses, it's easy to extend the wear for these dresses into the fall with a jacket - denim is always correct! Change the sandals for short boots and you are in business for the fall! I have been doing some reading about a book called Enduring Splendor - Jewelry of India's Thar Desert, and what an inspiration it has been. Take a look below at the remarkably intricate work these men (only men are allowed to be silversmiths in this area of India) are able to make with just a few basic hand tools.
There is jewelry inspiration everywhere. Thought maybe this month would be a good time to post some jewelry from one of my newer collections - La Luna!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and most of my family comes to our house for the week.
I am always looking for interesting and easy ways to make the table pretty and I came across this simple idea on Pinterest. I love that all this really takes is some brown paper for the "napkin ring" and a little sprig of rosemary! Simple and pretty! Silver "elliptical" earrings and a little bit of information about how they were made. Starting with plain round silver wire, I always start with a circle then work them into the final shape.
This is me getting ready for fall shows. There is quite a long list of jewelry that I would like to make before the shows start in earnest but, you know what?
I am not going to stress. I will not worry about it. I will happily make the jewelry (because that is truly what I love to do) and let the shows take care of themselves. Oh, yes, one other thing.... I will enjoy this life I have been given. I hope you will, too! 1.StyleBop.com 2. Bloomingdales.com 3. Rebelle.com 4. LauraTeague.com 5. Nordstrom.com 6.OrchardMile.com I love the combination of pink or blush worn with black and sterling silver jewelry. But, then again, I love black with almost any other color!
PS - want to see a cool and convenient way to keep your silver jewelry clean and sparkly? Go here to see! We had such a great time at Pink Palace Crafts Fair this past weekend in Memphis! This is always a great show and this year was no exception...well, except that the weather didn't exactly cooperate. It was beastly hot on Saturday (but the Memphis shoppers still came out!) and Sunday it pretty much rained all day. Still a great time + a family visit and we are calling this a wonderful weekend! Thanks, Memphis!
I am so looking forward to the Pink Palace Crafts Fair this coming weekend in Memphis, Tennessee! This is a really big, three day show and is such fun to do - we always have a great time. And this year - perfect weather! No rain in sight!
Support Breast Cancer Awareness - this month only, a purchase of these earrings will send a donation to a breast cancer treatment center. Win-win - you get a wonderful, elegant pair of sterling silver "hope" earrings and a donation goes to a great cause!
Sneak peak of new collection - this collection is so new it doesn't even have a name! This piece is a super elegant sterling silver bangle. More pics to come! P.S. these bangle bracelets are not on the website yet - you can get yours at a show - click on the image above or GO HERE to see where I will be this fall.
Guess what - baking soda is good for so many different uses around the house and, the best part?
Almost all of us have it on hand all the time! So, yes, baking soda + water + soft toothbrush = shiny sterling silver jewelry! The 54th annual Bluff Park Art Show coming October 7th, 2017! I am so looking forward to this show in beautiful Bluff Park in Hoover, Alabama (Birmingham area). The weather is always wonderful in Bluff Park!
This is a feature of my jewelry in the magazine, House & Home - Celebrating the Style of South Louisiana that was done a couple of years ago. So honored to be featured in this beautiful magazine!
