The earrings inspired by the game of jacks have been my most popular earrings for a long time (go here to see the original "jacks" earrings) but some people prefer longer earrings. Enter the jacks earrings in this new, longer length. They still look like jacks but a lot more movement & whimsy!
These new silver earrings are available in my online store now - click here to shop! Click the button below to join my email list for first look at new designs + special offers! I was recently gifted with this precious little handmade copper enameled bowl - I love using it to store just one little pair of earrings. Sometimes smaller is better! The bowl was made by Louise Coulson of www.KingfisherDesignsMetals.com. Those cute sterling silver bubble blower earrings really work to blow bubbles - so much unexpected fun in the simple things! Available in my online store - go here to shop! Click the button below to sign my email list for first look at new designs & special offers!
A painting by one of my favorite painters in Louisiana! When so many Louisiana painters are painting scenes from New Orleans, Lauren (https://www.etsy.com/shop/LaurenJHClark) paints what she knows - the sugar cane fields, homes and churches around her hometown of Lakeland, Louisiana.
I have used this painting as a backdrop before - click here if you want another look! The large square silver earrings are from my new Bold Collection and are availabe on my online store! Click here to shop the earrings! Nice earring holder, don't you think? This beautiful porcelain vase was made by Rocky Broome of www.rockyspots.com. Most of her pottery is hand painted but I love this white "sea urchin" vase! I love Rocky's work - go check it out when you have a minute!
I like using this vase to hold earrings - every time I reach for the earrings, I enjoy the vase all over again. These sterling silver earrings are for sale on my online store - click here to see them! You might be familiar with one of my favorite collections, the Daisy Chain (AKA Clover Chain) Collection - you can see photos below of the jewelry (or go here to see the bracelet in my online store or here to see the short silver daisy chain earrings online).
This little clover flower was the inspiration for this collection. In some parts of the country, kids made daisy chains or dandelion chains & used them as necklaces, bracelets or crowns but where I grew up, in Arkansas, it was clover chains all day long, every carefree summer day! Wow! These silver earrings are supersized! If you love the original jacks earrings (below), but you prefer larger earrings, you'll love these extra large jacks earrings! Still jacks, still fun ---- just a lot more to love. These earrings are part of a group of new jewelry I am working on - all around the theme of "jacks". If you want to know when the new silver jacks jewelry hits the website, click here to join my email list! Click on the image below to shop the original "Jacks" earrings! By the way, the background for both of these images is an original painting called "Little House with Sunset in Sugarcane Field" by my friend, Lauren Clark. Today is our anniversary - 30+ years ago today, we got married in a quiet ceremony in Bar Harbor, Maine, of all places! We were both transplants to Louisiana (he from Tennessee and me from Arkansas) and decided to get married then decided (on a lark, really) to take a trip to Maine and get married while we were there. Seems kind of crazy looking back on it but it has all worked out for us!
In honor of all sorts of anniversaries and celebrations, I wanted to share these dramatic black and gold earrings. I love freshwater pearls of all sizes and I think these little oval ones set off the gold and black in the earrings perfectly! They are available in my online store, so click here if you want to see details & shop! Click here to sign up for me email list so that you don't miss any new jewelry design announcements! Last week I was on vacation in my home state of Arkansas, doing a little rockhounding for crystals in Hot Springs, visiting with family, eating barbeque and lots of other fun things.
I needed a few photos of my jewelry on real people so I grabbed one of my sister-in-laws (sisters-in-law?) and asked if I could take a few photos of her wearing a couple of pairs of my earrings. She was happy to oblige! (The reason for doing this was that earrings are EXTREMELY hard to get good photos on my own ears.....extremely.) Go here to see these sterling silver dangle earrings from the "jacks" collection! I have recently made a series of 4 or 5 different sizes of these sterling silver square earrings and these are the smallest - so, technically, they are "extra small". As I looked at them when I took this picture I saw that, honestly, they are not THAT small. Relatively small, yes. Afterall the largest ones are 6" around so those are pretty large so, compared to those large square earrings, these are "extra small".
So, I guess I should say that these earrings are the "extra smallest"....so far. Click here if you want to get a closer look at these "extra small" silver square earrings! Want to be in the loop so you don't miss out when new jewelry is introduced? Click here to join my email list now!
New postcards!! I love these. I designed them to be used for wholesale orders but I think they will be useful for all sorts of things....want a postcard?? :) I typically use them when I am at larger art shows; I put my booth number on the back & give them out so that people can find me again without having to follow the yellow brick road! Do you like the look of those silver drop "waterfall" earrings? Click here to get a closer look and shop!
So Many Different Kinds of Pearls!
Freshwater pearls, which come from rivers and lakes in China, are the most popular of all types of pearls. Although they come in a huge range of colors, I work almost exclusively with white or cream pearls; these more natural pearl colors have been so popular, especially when paired with sterling silver! A classic combination! Click HERE to see all the freshwater pearl jewelry!
New bold earrings - familiar design, new larger format! I'll be you have heard that big, bold earrings are "in" right now and for the foreseeable future! Bold earrings are a great accent for denim and can be the focal point of the "no makeup" make up look! These statement earrings are also wonderful if you dress simply - they will create an instant sense of your personality! These earrings come in two smaller sizes (medium size handmade silver earrings and this small silver earring design). This design was just begging for a new larger size and this is it! If you are looking for handmade silver jewelry, including silver earrings, sterling silver bracelets and unique necklaces, Fairhope is going to be the place to be this coming weekend!

Circles are such an important universal symbol and jewelry that incorporates this ancient symbol makes a statement for the wearer. The circle has long been a symbol of wholeness, infinity and unity among people. I am so excited to share with you some new additions to La Luna Collection - jewelry that uses the simple circle as it's core. If you want to read more about the circle as a symbol, go HERE to do that.
You will be happy to know that the sterling silver heart jewelry is back on the website! These handmade Valentine's Day earrings, rings and necklaces are only available in February and there is limited stock available! Need a gift for Valentine's Day? (YES, it's ok to buy a Valentine's Day gift for yourself!) Check out these handmade heart earrings!
So that you can get a better idea of what these featured earrings and my other handmade jewelry will look like on you, I am starting on a journey to take photos of my jewelry using myself as my model.
This has been a big challenge for me for many reasons, but I really want you to be able to picture this jewelry on yourself. So, I am committed! For better or worse, look for more photos of me wearing my jewelry!
