I have been spending some time in the last week or so with my camera in video mode - playing around with making videos of some of my jewelry. Also, it's fun to watch the jewelry "in action" - most of my jewelry has a lot of movement so it's good to be able to see that!
I know that when you can hold jewelry in your hands, it's pretty hard to judge the size and how it will actually look on you. I'm hoping the videos will give you a better idea of the size and maybe the "feel" of the jewelry. These earrings are both on the website so you can click here to check them out; click here to get a closer look and shop the thin silver rings!

We have not been able to get hand sanitizer since this whole crazy COVID19 thing started a few weeks back. Surprise! We got a package in the mail from the parents of our son's fiancee who live in Idaho. Apparently, they stocked up sometime back & had a little to spare! We are prepared!!!
That silver thumb ring is available on my website in all sizes! Click the button below to check out the silver stacking rings! I was in Naples, Florida last month and visited the Naples Botanical Garden for the first time ever. There was an orchid show happening and it was absolutely spectacular!! The colors of the orchids and the patterns was just amazing. What a treat!
The silver rings are available in my online store - click here to check out the silver stacking rings! A few years back, I discovered how easy it is to make sourdough bread. Since then, I make bread 1-2 times a week. I mix it up using different combinations of white and whole wheat flour, oat flour and other wonderful add-ins. My favorite is to add old fashioned oatmeal - it gives the bread a wonderful nutty sort of flavor plus a great chewy texture. So good!
That bracelet and silver stacking ring are both available in my online store. Click here to see the bracelets and here to see the stacking rings! I remember spending a lot of time when I was a child, on a summer day, making clover chain. I think maybe girls in different parts of the country used daisy flowers to make chains. Simple fun in a simpler time!
That silver thumb ring is available on my website - classic silver rings to wear on any finger! (Sometimes called silver stacking rings.) Click here to check out the silver stack rings! (Click here if you want to take a look at the clover chain jewelry!) So the advice to drink more water to try to avoid getting the corona virus is one I can definitely get behind! I was already drinking a lot of water since I had a kidney stone last fall but I am just being sure to absolutely stay on top of it now.
In fact, I have an app that I use to track my water intake - if I don't track it, I will get busy and forget to drink & pretty soon it's 10 at night & I need to drink 30 ounces of water before bed. Not a great scenario! :) If you are interested the app is called Drink Water Reminder. I went through a couple before I found this one - it's free and it works well. That silver link bracelet is on available on the website - click the button below to shop! A few weeks back, we were at an art show in Coconut Grove, Florida (back before all the art shows were canceled because of the corona virus) and, after the show we spent a few days across the peninsula in Naples.
Turns out, there was an orchid show going on at the Naples Botanical Gardens, which was amazingly beautiful. The colors and patterns on those orchids was incredible - I have really never seen anything like it. I don't know much about orchids but I know the orchids at that show were unbelievably lovely. I left there with a new found appreciation for orchids! That silver thumb ring is available on my online store - click here to take a closer look & shop! Do you love cilantro as much as I do? I know it's kind of a love it or hate it kind of that but, I gotta say, I love it! I especially love it in homemade quacamole....so good. I love it so much that, on a couple of separate trips, I somehow ended up with not one, not two, but three cilantro plants. Not sure how that happened but not unhappy about it either! Bring on the quacamole!
That silver chain bracelet is on my website right now (click here to see it up close) and that cute little silver stacking ring (aka, silver thumb ring) is also in the store - click here to shop the rings! I have recently rediscovered Janet Evanovich and her girl hero, Stepanie Plum! I think I tried to read these books a few years ago but I must have not been in the mood. Now, I love these books; in fact, I have read almost all of them in the past few weeks. The only ones I have not read are on my "holds" list in my Libby app! Obsessed much - yes, I think so!
That silver thumb ring (or any finger ring) is available in my online shop - click here to take a closer look & shop! It's almost spring here in south Louisiana and the dandelions are in full bloom - actually, this photo was taken a few days ago so the "blooms" are probably all gone by now - it happens fast once the weather warms up.
I just got back from a big art show in Miami (Coconut Grove Art Festival) and, to be truthful, I'm having a little trouble getting myself back into the studio. Sometimes, the motivation just isn't there! I think I will enjoy the nice weather today and take care of some out-of-studio things that need to happen! If you like that silver thumb ring, you can find it and more of all sizes on my website! Click here to check it out now! Spring is literally right around the corner here in south Louisiana! I went for a walk around the neighborhood yesterday and couldn't resist picking these clover flowers! Not only are they cool looking little flowers, they also are the inspiration for my "clover chain" (aka, "daisy chain") jewelry collection!
I was at an art festival in Jackson, Mississippi (Chimneyville Arts Festival) and this cool coffee shop had a booth so I gave it a try. I was SO glad I did! I like my coffee black and it's not always easy to find a smooth black coffee. Well, this coffee was perfect and, full disclosure, I drink coffee pretty much all day long so I needed something I could enjoy in the morning as well as later in the day. WIN!! Thanks, Cups Espresso Cafe!
That cool little thumb ring is available in my online store - you can click here to check it out! One of my very favorite art shows is the Chimnevyille Arts Festival in Jackson, Mississippi the first weekend in December every year. It's a beautiful show and the people from Jackson and the surrounding areas come out to start or finish their Christmas shopping!
I think my favorite thing about the show is seeing people shopping and buying gifts for each other. Mothers and daughters as well as husbands and wives come to the show and just have such a good time spending time together. It really kind of gets me in the spirit of the holiday! That silver thumb ring is available in my online store. The large silver chain bracelet is not yet in the store but you can click here to sign up for my email so that you don't miss out when new jewelry hits the website! I wish the crystals in this rock showed up better in this photo! We stopped several places in New Mexico on our way back from Arizona to do some rockhounding. I am obsessed with the search for cool rocks - especially rocks with a little sparkle in them!
This one caught my eye because it was just a plan looking rock except for....that AMAZING stipe of sparkle right across the middle of it! I had to take a closer look & bring it home to add to my collection! That silver thumb ring is in my online shop now - click HERE if you need one (or more) for yourself or someone else! This is one of my favorite sterling silver necklaces; it's fairly thin but extra long, which I love. Long necklaces have been popular for awhile but this is the first time I have made one of my silver chain link necklaces in this longer length.
The stacking rings you can barely see in this photo (I wear them with my wedding ring but a little pop of mixed metal) are in my online store - click here to get a closer look at those little rings. The long silver chain necklace is not on the website just yet but it will be soon - click the button below to join my email list so you will be first to know when it hits the website! Last week, we were in Arizona for the Fountain Hills Fine Art & Craft Festival and, on our way back home to Louisiana, we decided to take our time and do a little rockhounding on the way.
I had a book suggesting where to go to (possibly) find flourite in New Mexico so we headed to that site and we found this amazing chuck of flourite! It actually has a little bit of a greenish cast to it which is hard to see in the photo. So much fun!! The sterling silver stacking or thumb ring is available in my online store - click here to see the silver rings! We love to travel and we especially love to travel in the western U.S.; I guess that could have something to do with the fact that both of our grown sons live on the west coast. But, beyond that, we are rockhounds and will go almost anywhere to find cool rocks!
In this case, we were driving back home from an art show in Fountain HIlls, Arizona and decided to stop off at a rockhouding area near Deming, New Mexico. We found lots of interesting rocks but this one was my very favorite. I love all those small while chrystals, all clustered together! I guess it's kind of big to use in a necklace....I'll have to keep thinking about that! That silver thumb ring is available in my online store - go here to check it out! Nice to wear by itself or stack it up with others! These beautiful sterling silver multi hoop drop earrings have been one of my most popular designs since the moment I first introduced them. They are classic but unique enough to be interesting - a nice alternative to a simple and classic hoop earring!
Click here to shop these silver drop earrings in my online store and here to shop the sterling silver stacking rings! It's cool and rainy here in south Louisiana after what seemed like an endless summer...and not in a good way. It was too hot for too long.
Today I am remembering a wonderful trip we took this summer to visit family in southern California. I love southern California...as long as we are at the beach, anyway. What a wonderful place. That sterling silver thumb ring is available on my website - click here to pick up a few for yourself! This book was recommended to me by Megan Auman (www.meganauman.com) and, since I already had Brene Brown's other book (which I can't remember the name of) on my "must read" list, I decided to go ahead & ask Mr. Amazon to send me both of them ASAP.
I started reading this last night and here's what I can tell you. I am 15 pages in and this book is going to change my life. I am almost in tears as I type that. She talks about courage (the everyday type, not the "i'm a hero" type), connection and compassion in ways that are real and "actionable", if that makes sense. It's almost reading like a how-to book of how to be a better person. In fact, it IS a how-to book. Ok, i'm going to go read now. :) Those stacking rings? They are in my online store - click here to shop them now! I just got back from a trip visiting our son in California. Before we left, there was some fairly heavy stress in my life - a very sick relative, a busy time preparing for this trip and several others coming up this fall. Anyway, once we left on our driving trip to California, I decided to spend the trip looking for things that gave me joy.
This was the first thing I saw on the trip that made me laugh out loud - this crazy fun set of salad serving "forks". So many colors! So much abandon and abundance of colors!! I thought, that's what joy is - things that you see or hear that, when you see or hear it, you just spontaneously laugh! That little silver ring is available in my online store - go here to check it out! If you want to join my email list so that you don't miss out on any new jewelry designs, click here to sign up! I am totally loving these new jewelry tags! I use them for silver bracelets and necklaces and they are perfect. You can't see it, but there is room on the back to put a small price tag along with the inventory number.
That little silver thumb ring is available on my website - go here to shop the silver stacking rings! The other day, I was watching a video about something - maybe email marketing or maybe using Pinterest in your business, and the speaker was drinking from an amazingly beautiful black and white coffee mug. I couldn't get that coffee mug out of my head so, when the video ended, I emailed the speaker and told her that I really needed a mug like the one she was using in the video. She told me the artist is Elizabeth Benotti (https://elizabethbenotti.com/) so, now I am the proud owner of one of Elizabeth's mugs! Happy dance!
The little silver stacking ring (I use it as a thumb ring) is available in my online store - you can click here to check it out! Click the button below to join my email list for first look at new designs! Earlier today I was at a local and delicious coffeeshop (www.Lighthouse.coffeebr.com) and saw this very cute little clutch. It's actually a holder for essential oils but, anyway, what I noticed was that this cute little oil holder exactly matches the colors on my website! I just recently added a little (ok, a lot) of color to my website so now I see these colors everywhere I go. I love them - so bright and cheerful!!
The silver stacking thumb ring is available on my online store - click here if you want to see it in the store! Sign up (by clicking here) for my email list if you want to keep up with new jewelry designs! New white gauzy shirt - perfect for the end of summer AND I got it on a nice sale, too! Win-Win! It is still so hot here where I am in south Louisiana but, miraculously, we may be getting a brief cool front through in the next few days! Logically, I know fall is coming but, in the meantime, I'll wear my new gauzy white blouse and enjoy the heat! The "daisy chain" silver bracelet is available in my online store - you can click here to shop! You can click here to see the silver stacking rings - they make great thumb rings, too - so comfortable! Click the button below to sign up to be the first to see new jewelry designs! P.S. When you were younger, did you make clover chain jewelry or dandelion chain or even daisy chain jewelry? Let me know in the comments below - I would love to know!
