Oh, I really do love Amos Decker, the hero in a series of mysteries by David Baldacci. In this book, Amos, the detective with the amazing and unrelenting memory, is back in his hometown to right a wrong he may have committed in his very first murder investigation. As usual, this is a book I couldn't put down!
If you have other books to recommend, I would love to know! Always looking for a good read as long as it's not TOO bloody...also torture - I don't do well with reading about torture. So, thanks in advance! The silver bracelet is one of my favs & is available in my online store! Go here to see details & shop!

This week is the week for taking lots of jewelry photos to add to the website. I had taken so many individual silver bracelet photos that I was beyond ready for something different so I just loaded up the bracelets and take some shots.
That's how I like to wear my silver bracelets, anyway - all stacked up. If one is good, 3, 4 or 5 are better, right?! All of these bracelets are for sale in my online store! Click to show & see details of each bracelet: sterling silver jacks bracelet, thin silver bangle bracelet, small sterling silver round bracelet (out of this world), sterling silver daisy chain bracelet, updated vintage silver charm bracelet! For first look at new designs & special offers, click the button below to sign up for my email list! You might be familiar with one of my favorite collections, the Daisy Chain (AKA Clover Chain) Collection - you can see photos below of the jewelry (or go here to see the bracelet in my online store or here to see the short silver daisy chain earrings online).
This little clover flower was the inspiration for this collection. In some parts of the country, kids made daisy chains or dandelion chains & used them as necklaces, bracelets or crowns but where I grew up, in Arkansas, it was clover chains all day long, every carefree summer day! Earlier this summer the pears got ripe! We have lived in this house for so many years and, except for the first year we lived here, we have never had more than one pear on the tree. Suddenly, this year, we had several dozen pears - he natural world is a mystery!
But. The truth? Neither of us really like pears. Oh, we like to look at them and wonder at the fact that we suddenly have so many pears on our little tree. But eat them? Not so much. So we enjoyed watching the birds have a bird party with pears for the main course. It's been a good summer! Those bracelets are both available in my online store - click here to see the fun, frilly, charm style bracelet and click HERE to see the thin sterling silver bangle bracelets! This book, Flat Broke with Two Goats, is an entertaining book - I'm always looking for something new to read and this one came up on the books on the "Big Library" list of books. If you don't know about "Big Library" (and you like to read), check it out - it's a nice concept and the books listed for the program as pretty good, for the most part.
This book starts out kind of sad, in an unfortunate sort of way. Major financial problems are always pretty sad. Anyway, things improve from there for this family and things are poignant and funny and sometimes sad again. Bonus? It's a true story, which I didn't realized until I Googled it after I finished reading it. This silver bracelet is one of my very favorites and I wear it all the time. The fact that is was inspired by the game of "jacks" is an added plus. It just makes me happy every time I look at it! You can click here if you want to shop this bracelet on my online store! I knew I needed to show you my sterling silver jewelry on real people and, since I didn't have family in town (or anywhere nearby), I was stumped as to who I could use.
Then it hit me - I could easily ask my beautiful niece, Marie, to model for me! I asked, she said yes, I sent her the jewelry and here are a couple of the gorgeous photos she took of sterling silver bracelets and bangle bracelets! (I paid her in jewelry, so everybody was happy - win-win!) Both of these silver bracelets are available in my online store - click here to see the silver chain link bracelet pictured below and click here to shop the thin sterling silver bangle bracelets pictured above. Last weekend I was on vacation in Arkansas and one of the most wonderful things we did was find a farm where we could pick our own peaches. We were lucky enough to have a little bit of cooler weather so it was really great and the peaches are so sweet! (We picked 80 pounds of peaches - that's a lot of smoothies and a lot of jam!
Go here to get a closer look at the silver bracelet - inspired by the childhood game of jacks! Click the button below if you need a silver thumb ring of your very own! There is nothing like a freshwater watermelon from a farmer's market in the summertime!
Last week, I was on vacation in my home state, Arkansas and we happened across a farmer's market in downtown Little Rock. Of course, we had to stop & take a look! LOTS of good things there (including some wonderful art by local artists) but my favorites were these lovely fresh watermelons! Takes me back to my childhood, hot days, cold watermelon on a picnic table! It was a wonderful market (a combination of artists, fresh produce, honey and other delicious things) set up at The Bernice Garden. Click here if you want to see details for my silver "jacks" bracelet - lightweight and easy to wear on a hot summer day! I have several friends who make pottery so, when I can, I love to buy their pottery. This beautiful white "urchin" porcelain pot was made by Rocky Broome (http://www.rockyspots.com/). I love the shape of this pot as well as the texture - it's one of my favorite pieces of handmade pottery.
The silver rope bracelet is for sale in my online store - click here to see details and shop the bracelet!
There are so many different types of bracelets! I'll talk about 2 types here with more to follow on another day.
